About Me

Welcome to my Cube teaching website! My name is Neil, and I have been passionate about solving the Cube since 2020. I started teaching others how to solve the cube because I believe that anyone can learn this skill with the right guidance and practice.

Even with as little as one-hour training most people will be able to solve the cube consistently in only a few minutes (with practice).

When I was a child my parents bought a cube, we were fascinated by it, we spent a lot of time just randomly trying to solve it. Ultimately none of the family could solve it with the exception of possibly one coloured side. We saw a solution for sale on a market, so we bought it. The instructions were so detailed and overwhelming we still couldn't solve the cube. I believe in breaking down the solution into small enough parts with illustrations and help videos so that you grasp each step before moving on to the next.

My Background

I'm a professional computer programmer. Being a programmer involves being able to break down larger problems into smaller parts and solving those one by one to solve the problem as a whole. This is going to be our approach to learn how to solve the cube.

You don't need to be a programmer, a mathematician, brain surgeon or rocket scientist to solve the cube, you just need to be shown a few moves (We call them algorithms, but they're just a set of rotations that we give a name to like Leftie or Rightie), and remember when to use these moves/algorithms.

Over the years, I have helped numerous students of all ages and skill levels to solve the cube, and even with little practice they're able to solve from a random starting point in just a few minutes.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe in a hands-on approach to learning. My lessons are structured to be interactive and engaging, ensuring that each student feels confident as they progress through the stages of solving the cube. I focus on solving the cube in a systematic way that helps solidify the approach and results in being able to consistently solve the cube in just a few minutes (With a little practice).
